Who is Michael Sokol?
Michael is a radio and podcast producer with extensive musical knowledge. He is committed to documenting stories and voices that highlight the complexity of what it means to be alive today.
He is the host and producer of the podcast Same Wavelength, which explores the relationship between art, politics, and history through the artist’s lens.
Over the past decade, Michael has conducted and produced hundreds of interviews with artists, business owners, and community leaders in Western New England as an on-air host at WRSI-FM 93.9 The River.
As Production Director at the station, he worked one-on-one with local business owners to help bring their stories to life through vivid radio marketing campaigns.
Michael graduated from Ithaca College in 2010. During his senior year, he was Program Director for the college’s radio station, WICB-FM 91.7.
He currently lives in Los Angeles and loves spending his free time volunteering at 826LA, where he works with students on their creative writing projects. You can also find him getting lost in the stacks at the Los Angeles Central Library.
